Anita Kishen, MD

Pediatrics

Dr. Anita Kishen founded Kids Care Pediatrics with a deep commitment to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to her patients. Inspired by her father’s dedication to medicine, she developed a strong passion for serving the community, first in India and later in Brooklyn, New York.

Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Kishen is actively involved in public health initiatives. She is a member of the New Jersey Immunization Network and participates in various educational programs through the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). She also serves as a medical advisor for a New Jersey health plan.

Recognizing the growing need for mental health support, Dr. Kishen launched a mental health program at Kids Care Pediatrics during the pandemic. Along with her team, she continues to engage in various initiatives to promote health and well-being for the families she serves. Her mission remains to ensure that every child receives the highest standard of medical care in a nurturing and supportive environment.

When she is not working, Dr. Kishen enjoys spending time with her family and friends and loves visiting New York City.

What do you love most about being a pediatrician?

I love building relationships with families and watching children grow from newborns into their own unique selves. Being part of that journey is truly special.

Tell us a little about your family.

I have a wonderful husband and two amazing children—a daughter and a son—who are incredibly supportive and keep me inspired every day.

What are you most proud of?

I’m proud to have built a pediatric practice that reflects my values—one where families feel heard, supported, and genuinely cared for.

What are your interests outside of the office?

I enjoy art, photography, and travel. I’m especially drawn to meaningful art that reflects life’s experiences and connects to the work I do with families every day.
